We are all sensitive people

I bet y'all thought I'd write about the playoffs....well, you're wrong. I got an insider tip from Crazy Legs Conti that there may be a relation with Leon Powe and Marvin Gaye.

What do you think?

See, I thought it was kinda weird that he would sing "Sexual Healing" in the locka room before a game, but now I get it.

Rock me yo' thoughts on the survey - and I'll write about the Cavs tomorrow.

Game 5

Did y'all like my Halloween mask? I used to scare the bejeezus out of the Hawks, and guess what - it worked! Not only did we nab a 3-2 lead with that W last night, but we did it as a STATEMENT. Six guys in double figs and defense - that's what Celtics basketball is all about!

My favorite part of last night's performance, after the W of course, is Mike Bibby's line from last night: 2-8 shooting, 0 free throws attempted (what - are you scared to come into the paint???), 2 boards, 1 assist, 1 block, and a total of 6 points. That oughta clam him up for a bit, huh?

So, now it's back to ATL on Friday for a game 6. I'll be there with bells on.

Ode to Biggie

I'm just happy we're going, going, back, back to Boston, Boston. 'Nuff said.

ATL

I know, I know....it's been a while since my last posting. This guy's gotta play though! Much love goes out to the C's fans in Boston right now - and I dig the Mike Bibby heckling. He flat out deserves it. Check out the video of the game last night - Rondo is better! Diggity done.

Who is he to question the level of fanhood in Boston? ATL fans didn't go to the World Series when the Braves were rockin' it, and they certainly haven't been to Hawks games since 'Nique played.

C's up 2-nil. No rest for the weary. I'm out.

The B-Cats

No KG, no Piercey, no Ray Allen - no problem... I wasn't gonna let their absence ruin my flow and I laid up a solid 4 point/7 rebound night. Ya...I could have shined w/out 'em on the floor, but I'd rather see my biggity boy Leon Powe tear it up with 22 points and 9 boards - what of it!

We also clinched home court advantage throughout the playoffs with this W, but ya didn't see us celebratin' on TV, did ya? Nope...we are all bizness until we see this thing through until the end. So, I am now officially in PLAYOFF MODE - and that means a few new workout ideas for my regimen. I gots to be in tiptop shape to play vs. the NBA's best, so it's time to pick it up a notch.

Since we didn't play a game yesterday, I had some time on my hands....so I hopped on a plane and chased down a cheetah (and no, that isn't Boston-talk for someone who cheats). I'm gonna tie myself to the cheetah and chase it until I catch it. I figure this will help me build up my speed to run up and down the court.

Until the next game - KP is OOOUUUUT!

The Pacers

Last night we trounced all ova Indiana for our FiF win in a row and I doled out a solid 6 point, 4 board kinda night. The big thing from last night's W isn't even the streak that we got going on, it's the fact that we have over 60 wins on the seaz and tied the Spurs for biggest one year turn around in NBA history. Don't y'all get me wrong...I may be happy with our success, but I am not about to smile because of it. KP does not smile. Period. I think that we're doing so well because of the workout regiment that the team is doing (thanks to me)....moose bench pressing, boulder squats and torturing Scal on a daily basis. Yesterday I gave Scal the best Indian Sunburn in the history of bullying...and I'll do it again, too.

Until the next game, KP is OUT.

Da Bulls

Yo, you gotta love my style....4 points and 9 boards vs. Da Bulls as we keep rollin' rollin' rollin' to the playoffs. Some of the hoops writers out there are saying that we're the favorites to come outta the East and dance to the NBA Finals. Now, I don't know for sure who's the fav and who isn't, but I do know what my favorite thing is...and that's pickin' fights - what of it.

I gotta get my aggression out before a game, so last night I told Scal that since he shaved his head he looked like the crazy dude in Higher Learning. Scal did not care for that too much and we got in a tussle. I rocked the ol' "Stop Hitting Yo'self" move on him and won. Ya, I felt much better goin' into the game. Scal wasn't gonna play anyways, so that was the most active he got yesterday anyways.

Another great thing happened before the game last night. One of my favorite things to eat are strawberries and someone brought in some taaaaaaasty s-berries to our shoot around in Chi-town. Word has it they came all the way in from San Francisco. What? A dude can't love fighting and strawberries? What of it!

To leave on the high note - how about Coach Doc getting some love from the NBA? Check this story out on Boston.com's Celtics Blog.

Until the next game, I'll see ya when I see ya.

The Hornets and Heat

What of it - I didn't post anything on Saturday after the Hornets game - get offa my back. Didya see my alley-oop pass vs. the Hornets? Yup, that was my Chris Paul impression. I racked up 7 points, 6 boards and one siiiiiiiiiick assist en route to our trouncing of the Hornets.

Last night we embarrassed the Miami Heat and this guy couldn't have said it better that El Capitan - Paul Pierce - "That's D-Leaguers out there. I think we just handled our business. They put in about four or five guys from the D-League and we did our business. We knew this was a game we were supposed to win and we were focused from the jump and went out and did it."

Do you wanna know why we rolled out two W's this weekend? Because I watched Major League, one of my favorite movies of all time, and took the advice of Pedro Cerrano - I sacrificed a live chicken in the locker room. Gracias, Pedro.

Next up - Da Bulls tomorrow night. Until then, KP is O.U.T.!

Phoenix Suns

Ya...we avenged our loss to the Phoenix Suns last night at home and who's got two thumbs and contributed to the W? THIS GUY. Yours truly tossed down a 10-13 kinda night en route to this victory. Do you wanna know the secret to my success last night? It the pregame workout combo of live moose bench presses, boulder squats, Hannah Montana and I actually shoved lil' Eddie House in a locker.

He was gettin' all hyped up before the game and was screamin' "We must protect this house!!!" I just couldn't take it anymore, so I crammed him in there for a bit and got my aggression out. I'm not sorry, I'd do it again, what of it! I may do it tomorrow before our game against the Hornets, I dunno, we'll see.

Sixers

Twenty seven and a half minutes played and I got a triple-four (four rebounds, four assists and four points) vs. the Sixers on Monday night. We lost-what of it! We're not gonna win 'em all and Andre Iggs played his lil' heart out at the end of the game to win it for Sixers. I hope we see them in the playoffs...

Yo, I know it's one game at a time, but we've got the Suns and the Hornets coming up. Let one "L" be and don't sweat it. I've gotta go prep for those games. One loss does mean more Hannah Montana watching, so I can clear my noodle.

K.P. - OUT!

Yeah...I'm not as tenacious today as I normally am, but whattya expect? We lost, of course I'm not happy.

Dallas Mavs

We came, we saw, we rocked Texas. On our day off yesterday I took R-Allen out to my ma's house to fix up that ankle of his. It was a Perkins family remedy...Tussin. We ran out of it as we were puttin' it on his ankle, but no big dealski, just added some water, shook it up - MO TUSSIN!. What happened- Allen hit the game winning shot and we win. Yo' welcome.

I chipped in with 30 minutes played and 5 points - what of it. I owe last night's game to the boulder squats (ya - that's right, I just picked up a boulder outside of my ma's house and did some squats). We got another day off today....and the Hornets tomorrow....if we win it'll be out FiF W in a row.

The Rockets

Hey y'all,

First, I want to give full disclosure before I continue this blog. While yes, I do some crazy things to prep for games and max my snarl on the court, I also do some things that are a bit...well...let's just say calmer than bench pressing a moose (which did happen). I also enjoy watching back to back episodes of Hannah Montana to clear the ol' noggin. Hey, we have a day off today, so maybe I'll watch a few more.

In case you didn't hear, we stopped the Rockets winning streak. Good. That's just the kind of team we are. I contributed with 20 minutes and 6 points. I'll pitch in whatever I have to in order for our team to win. You can bet no matter what happens, I'm not smilin'. Never.

It's a day off today, so what of it! KP - O.U.T!

The Spurs

Twenty minutes played, four rebounds grabbed, two shots taken, and one shot blocked - all for one win against the Spurs last night in San Antonio. That's what happens when your practice consists of bending steel and eating raw eggs and I'll do it again to prep for the Rockets. So what if they have won more games in a row than the minutes I played last night. I'm not scared, I'm Kendrick Perkins - what of it. I'm gonna add in a little extra kick to my prep tonight just 'cuz my hometizzle of Nederland, TX isn't that far away from Houston. I'm going to bench press a live moose - done.

So, Old Man (a.k.a. Dikembe), watch out, I'm coming after you with all I got.

KP - Out. What of it.

Introduction

Yeah, I'm Kendrick Perkins, the starting center for the NBA-best Boston Celtics - What of It? Since we are on a long trip out to the west, I figured that it was time for me to start bloggin' my thoughts. Up first, we have a tough schedule of games ahead with San Antonio, Houston, Dallas and New Orleans...and you can guarantee that I will bring my A game. I didn't play against San Antonio when they came to town, so you'd better believe that I'm going to bring it.

I gotta go bend some steel and eat some raw eggs in preparation for tonight's game. Keep your eyes peeled for more blog posts.
